System design consultation
Soundscape creation
Generative audio
Bespoke software
On-site install and programming
Working as part of the team at Silent Studios, we were invited to design the sonic dimension across a collection of multi-sensory installation pieces at the Eden Project in Cornwall, England.
Our scope included the creation of bespoke audio for each of the installations, development of a generative audio app to be used in the main exhibition space, and technical consultation on speaker system design.

A highlight piece was 'Echoes: The Weather Makers', in which a multi-layered musical soundscape and coloured light are manipulated by an algorithm using seasonal weather data from four real-world rainforests, creating a sensorial experience that charts a year in the life of these incredible weather makers.

With the environment in a continual state
of flux, the transient sound, light, colour and mist mimic the weather conditions at the rainforest locations. Temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed and cloud cover all influence the multi-sensory atmosphere.
