We were engaged by Montcalm Collection to design the audio journey for their Mayfair YĀTRĀ spa.
Our scope encompassed technical and creative, consulting on speaker system and placement, and creating a number of bespoke immersive soundscapes for playback across the spa.

In close collaboration with Montcalm Mayfair, we shaped the desired mood for every area and produced over two hours of sensory audio. The work aligns with Montcalm Collections' concept of sensitive luxury: a new genre in London hospitality that speaks to all the senses while delivering warm, welcoming and uplifting service.
Inspired by serene British woodlands, the resulting soundscapes are crafted from field recordings captured in forests across England and Scotland. They sit naturally within the Montcalm Mayfair experience, where 'the garden' is celebrated as a homage to the site’s ancient forest origins and Georgian garden design heritage.
Guests find themselves fully immersed in a symphony of birdsong and delicate wind moving through a tree canopy. Once an hour, a distant thunderstorm rolls in, and textured rainfall can be heard above.
The main spa area benefits from more immersive audio that feels larger in scale whilst the smaller treatment rooms benefit from a more intimate sonic palette. A reworked version of the main soundscape also soundtracks the turndown moment in guest rooms and suites.
