We present Overtone: a new sonic wellness concept reimagining traditional gong bath practices through a contemporary lens, designed for revenue-generating integration into hospitality and spa offerings.
Overtone honours ancient gong techniques, whilst presenting them in a contemporary format that combines traditional influences with a modern approach to music composition and hi-fidelity audio production to create a rich and affecting deep-listening experience.
Sculptural circular speakers emanate the Overtone soundscape: a sonic immersion composed of pure and abstracted studio recordings of gongs, singing bowls, and chimes, combined with additional layers of contemporary tonal sound design.
Multiple configurations across single, triple and five-speaker arrays are designed to deliver a spatialised audio experience, placing sounds in three-dimensional space around the listener.
Each configuration has a bespoke audio mix that fully leverages speaker placement and formation to enhance the sense of immersion and directionality.
Whether offered within a spa or hotel setting, Overtone is designed to flex to the host venue's offering and facilities, and to provide a mindful sensory experience that seamlessly integrates into guests' wellness practice.
An invigorating morning routine, a midday moment of calm, an early evening reset, or a sleep-priming unwind. To cater to these different needs, the Overtone soundscapes have been designed with inherent flexibility: 15, 30, and 40-minute durations allow for short-form and lengthier experiences.
